Being a poet, a writer, a master of narration, a wizard of words is one of the best endowments a person can be bestowed with.
This blog is a chronicle of my adventures, both current and past along with socio-cultural commentary and stories on personal activities as well as those that in some way left their impression on me. Enjoy! Subscribe, Visit often, Tell your friends, leave comments, better yet promote it!

“Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old by deserting their ideals. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope, as old as your despair.” ~ General Douglas MacArthur(1880-1964)
“Don’t think I write for purgation. I write because I write well…. You have got to learn to paint with words.” ~ The Letters of Flannery O’Connor: The Habit of Being
PREFACE
(gratefully dedicated to those few who can truly convey emotions simply by the flow of feelings springing out of their own pen):
When everybody
is trying to be a poet these days
I often sit and ponder
If I have the right to speak this language..? :O
Whenever I wrote something
I often had no reason
unlike several others
to attribute to its origin
(Except for a few maybe?
~Valid or invalid Perturbation) π
My works Often hadn’t the credentials Sound
Of a Heartbreak Or a besotted patriot!
Yet I scribbled on any paper with any pen I found
To gather my scattered thought
(insignificant,magnificent or profound) 8)
Now Poems have always been
My need of the Hour
I realise, They equip me with
An innate pleasure & Power π
Do You too jot, scribble, note, write often? ^_^

A wonderfully designed blog, it saw me smiling just because of its style and approach.
I loved the color scheme you chose and sheer pleasure is its simple & non-cluttered look but also suggesting a world of fantacy. Very attractive, must say! :):)

Nice preface. To put your thoughts to paper looks an easy task, but to make it appear beautiful and at the same time convey the exact same thought to others is an art leanrt by few and I think you are one of them.

Hi Purvi..Few lines about that smile getting expensive was really good..
thought the rudeness with God at the end might not have been necesssary keeping in mind..its never the easy times when you learn important lessons, but the tough paths are what teaches us the most and ultimately helping us to be strong enough to face new challenges with that same inexpensive smile from childhood..
Keep writng..Good stuff..

Purvi-ji,
I love your writing and as an occasional scribbler, can identify well with the sentiments you express so well in this poem – well done!
To some extent it mirrored questions about the quality and validity of my poetic efforts, which I’ve tried to capture here:

“I am a compulsive writer…..” with that you hooked me. I’m constantly writing. I have been on a hiatus from writing for a couple years, but since starting again in May I have over 70 poems that are finished – not counting the ones that are not yet done…. I love your words and your site itself. I’ll be following you now and am eager to see more!

Also, Thankfully now your Mum is settling into a good new place. (I checked your page profile posts). Sometimes we have to squeeze art into what time we find and sometimes there is little time to be found. Here’s wishing you some quality creative time.
