Tears roll down his eyes
And He cries a million suns
His heart’s afire
But Soul lets him shun
He wants to touch his lady
so close to Him she seems
Yet when he reaches out
As an illusion back to him it beams.. 😦
’tis his own reflection,
He realizes in some time;
Fragment of the soul that once flew away..
Returns to reconnect back with time.
Our soul divides into two, and those souls are in turn transformed into two and so, within a few generations, we are scattered over a large part of the earth.
We form part of what the Alchemists call the Anima Mundi, the soul of the world; the truth is that if the Anima Mundi were merely to keep dividing, it would keep growing, but it would also become gradually weaker. That is why, as well as dividing into two, we also find ourselves. And the process of finding ourselves is called love. Because when a soul divides, it always divides into a male part and a female part.
In each life, we feel a mysterious obligation to find at least one of those soul mates. The greater love that separated them feels pleased with the Love that brings them together again.
But how will I know who my soul mate is?Â
By taking risks. By rising failure, disappointment, disillusion, but never ceasing in your search for love. As long as you keep looking, you will triumph in the end.”

Both poem and explanation stand alone quite well, but when combined they seem complete… Very nice.

Dreams make reality all too fuzzy.. don’t they?
A very beautifully crafted poem, Purvi… when time bounces back and forth between memories, everything seems unreal… and oh so real..
And you’ve brought this out very nicely in your poem here.. Kudos!

soulmates .. by your own description .. tell me can we not have more than one soulmate ?? love is so grand so infinite yet we add a finite element to it by saying it completes when two souls unite .. can love ever be complete ?? can complete ever define the infinite .. ?
and what comes first .. ? the essence of the soulmate or the realisation of completeness ??

Dost.. As You read.. do read the description by Coelho again. it answers quite a lot.. though, this question is so vast, that a lot many blogs and websites on this subject have been scanned by me.. and I finally precipitated the same as what Coelho said ~ “Our soul divides into two, and those souls are in turn transformed into two and so, within a few generations, we are scattered over a large part of the earth.” That is, answering your question, we can have multiple soul-mates, and we Do have actually! It only depends on how many soul-mates we manage to meet and sustain in a life time. And, unfortunately, the sad aspect of having ‘fragments of soul’ rather than ‘complete mirror souls’ as ‘soul-mates’ is that, they have to part rather than meet. I read it quite some time back, and I will check my favourites for the link if I can find it again, for the website that explained this in good great detail. Love is infinite, hence, incomplete. Not because it fails to fulfil, but because it is so much to be taken, that it can never cease to come, and then be given, as in passed over or shared, till the source or resource is blunted at the spout for some reason. The love, even then, will knock the shores, and will stay locked up, till it finds release again, and is, like through suction, drawn out by another heart that loves. And completeness, yes, is both finite and infinite. Though, it takes a lot to decide, if it is infinite. Only souls, that have attained that fulfillment, that completeness, even if in the most minuscule moment, then it shall be infinite in pouring out love. The essence of soul-mate comes first, whether, realized or not, and the connection with all souls~ mates, fragments, mirrors or not, is followed by completeness. Though, it takes a rare big heart to reach and finish the last leg of the journey. 🙂
Hope, I have been able to answer a few questions and not added to the confusion? Let me know.. 🙂
